Optical patch cord SC-LC Simplex is used for switching patch panels (ODF), boxes and subscriber sockets with active network equipment, such as: media converters, switches and switches connected via SFP modules. Single-mode (Single Mode) SM fiber (E9/125) is used to manufacture the patch cord. Thanks to the LSZH sheath, the patch cord complies with fire safety standards and can be used to build optical communication lines in server rooms and data centers. The LC connector is traditionally used in optical transceivers (SFP transceivers), some network equipment, and also in distribution panels where a high density of optical ports is required. LC connectors are a compact version of SC connectors. It also has a rectangular cross-section of the case. The connector is made of plastic and has a latch-lock, the ceramic core has a diameter of 1.25 mm, , but the SC ceramic core has a diameter of 2.50 mm.
