Connectors C13, C14, C19, C20

An IEC connector is a generic name for a set of thirteen female connectors that mount on a power cord.

Connectors C13 and C14 with contacts rated for 10A. Many stationary personal computers, monitors, printers and other peripheral devices have a C14 connector that connects the power cord to the power supply. Most AT form factor computers also have a C13 monitor receptacle on the chassis, connected through the computer's power switch. A three-wire cable with a country-specific mains plug on one end and a C13 socket on the other is commonly referred to as an IEC cord. Cables with a C14 connector on one end and a C13 connector on the other are widely used.

Connectors C19 and C20 with contacts rated at 16A are used for some information devices where increased current is required, such as for powerful workstations and servers, ATS, UPS, power distributors and similar equipment. They are similar to the C13 and C14, but are rectangular (no beveled corners) and have slightly larger pins turned parallel to the connector's long axis.
