For data center cabling design, a 25GBASE-T RJ45 copper cabling is a lower cost and optimal alternative to a fiber optic cabling with links in less than 30 meters. The Cat8 tool-free plug, an advancement of its predecessor Category 7, is also a great substitute for a Category 7 connector that is not an IEEE standard and is not approved by TIA/EIA. Category 7 does not use a traditional RJ45 interface, meanwhile Cat8 field termination plug makes network migration easier because it uses RJ45, the universal connector type that is the common and global standard for servers and switches.
