RJ45 plug, category. 6 is designed for 4-pair, twisted pair cable 24-23 AWG, suitable for single-core conductors. The connector is mounted using a crimping tool. It is used for cables with thick insulation on the cores, with an insulated conductor diameter (≈ up to 1.30 mm). Suitable for cables with an outer diameter of up to 7 mm.
The housing design does not allow the use of any tool for crimping. Since there is no "strain latch" cable clamp, it plays the role of holding the cable in the connector and removing the load from the contacts when tensioned. This function is performed here by the shielded tail clip "Shielded Tail Clip"
Therefore, when crimping, it is possible to use only those tool models in which it is possible to disable the "strain latch" clamp function
Peculiarities:
- Possibility to crimp shielded twisted pair category 6 (24 - 23 AWG).
- The insert allows you to crimp a conductor with an insulated wire diameter of ≈ up to 1.30 mm.
- The presence of a through insert simplifies the installation of the connector.
- The connector has a metal cable support, providing load relief and contact with the shield.
