For installation, it is enough to use wire cutters to remove excess twisted pair cores. After disconnecting the cable, the module is installed in a plastic or metal socket frame or patch panel with a Keystone mounting plate (IEC 60603-7). The Category 5e RJ-45 module is rated for 10 Gbps and is suitable for Power over Ethernet (PoE). The plastic housing does not support the ability to connect a shielded cable.
