The U/UTP Cat 6A patch cord is designed for connecting RJ-45 ports in patch panels, network outlets, servers, switches, Wi-Fi routers, and PCs. It is an integral part of a structured cabling system (SCS). It consists of a cable with eight copper conductors with a cross-section of 0.41 mm (26 AWG) and two RJ-45 connectors. The twisted-pair jacket and connector protective cap are made of PVC, and the eight conductors are unshielded.
UTP is an abbreviation for Unshielded Twisted Pair. This means that the cable consists of twisted pairs of conductors and has no additional shielding against electromagnetic interference.
