- 1 Protection against objects with a diameter of more than 50 mm
- 2 Protection against objects with a diameter of more than 12.5 mm
- 3 Protection against objects with a diameter of more than 2.5 mm
- 4 Protection against objects with a diameter of more than 1 mm
- 5 Partial protection against dust (does not interfere with the operation of the device)
- 6 Complete protection against dust
Protection against moisture from 0 to 9 (second digit)
- 0 No protection
- 1 Protection against vertically falling drops of water
- 2 Protection against drops of water falling at an angle of up to 15°
- 3 Protection against splashes of water at an angle of up to 60°
- 4 Protection against splashes of water from all directions
- 5 Protection against jets of water
- 6 Protection against powerful jets of water
- 7 Protection against short-term immersion in water (up to 1 m)
