Description

The optical patch panel is designed to organize welded connections of optical fiber, as well as to protect the welded connection from mechanical impacts. The panel is passive equipment for switching signals going through optical cables. It is also called a distribution panel. It is an element of the structural cable system, receiving a signal on one side via a fiber-optic cable and redistributing it to the network via the same optical cables.
