Description

The optical patch panel is designed to organize optical fiber splices, as well as to protect the splice from mechanical damage. The panel is a passive device for switching signals that travel along optical cables. It is also called a distribution panel. It is an element of a structured cabling system, receiving a signal from one side via a fiber-optic cable and redistributing it into the network via the same optical cables.
