The unshielded Corning UTP cat 6 KeyStone module for computer sockets and patch panels is used to connect unshielded twisted pair to an RJ-45 form factor connector. The twisted pair is connected according to the T568A or T568B color schemes. On the front side there is an 8-pin connector for connecting a connector from a patch cord. On the back side there is an IDC connector (insulation displacement contact - installation with insulation cutting) into which 8 twisted pair wires are fed and clamped between the copper tapering blades of the module using a plastic clamping insert, into which the wires are laid in advance according to the color pinout. After connecting the cable, the FutureCom module is installed in a plastic or metal frame of a socket or patch panel with a Keystone mounting strip (IEC 60603-7). The RJ-45 Category 6 module is designed for transmission speeds up to 1 Gbps and is suitable for Power over Ethernet (PoE). The plastic case does not support the ability to connect a shielded cable.
