The busbar support insulator with bolts is an insulating device used in residential and industrial power distribution cabinets. It is used to securely fix the conductive copper busbar inside the cabinet or electrical panel, to which the power cable is subsequently connected. The barrel busbar insulator also allows for the fixed installation of other structures that may be energized.

Structurally, the body of the SM series busbar power support insulator is a cylindrical body resembling a barrel, with detachable fasteners at the ends. The insulator body has threaded holes. The body itself is made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic, and the threaded inserts are made of brass or galvanized steel.

During installation, the SM busbar insulator is fixed to the power cabinet body or to the mounting plate on one side, and the conductive busbar is attached to the other side. At least two SM insulators are required to securely fix the busbar.
