PrintThe self-clamping FTP KeyStone Cat 6a module for computer sockets and patch panels is used when disconnecting a shielded twisted pair cable to an RJ-45 form factor connector. Twisted pair is connected according to the color schemes T568A or T568B. On the front side there is an 8-pin connector for connecting a connector from a patch cord. On the back side there is an IDC type connector (insulation displacement contact - insulation cutting installation) into which 8 twisted pair wires are connected and clamped between the copper tapering blades of the module using a clamping cover with the force of the fingers. For installation, it is enough to use wire cutters to remove excess twisted pair cores. After disconnecting the cable, the module is installed in a plastic or metal socket frame or patch panel with a Keystone mounting plate (IEC 60603-7). The Category 6a RJ-45 module is rated at 10 Gbps and is suitable for Power over Ethernet (PoE). The metal housing supports the ability to connect a shielded cable.
