Description
An optical cable is used for high-speed data transmission as light signals over long distances. It consists of glass fibers that allow information to be transmitted with almost no signal loss for distances up to several kilometers. Optical cables are used in communication networks, telecommunications, television, medical equipment, scientific and industrial applications, architecture and design, and for data transmission in aerospace and military technology. They are a more reliable and secure method of transmitting information than traditional copper cables and can transmit larger amounts of data over long distances.
The construction of the cable with a central tube allows the fibers to be insulated from external influences and provides stable and reliable transmission parameters. The fibers have color coding for quick and easy identification. This tube-based cable design is very compact, lightweight, and flexible, making it ideal for connections with a moderate number of fibers. These cables are intended for installation in pipes, ducts, and inside buildings.
