Description
MPO (Multi-Fiber Push-On) connector is an optical connector with a multi-fiber tip that has holes for several optical fibers. MPO connectors allow simultaneous connection of several optical fibers, so they are used in networks with a large number of connections (for example, SCS data centers).

When using the 8-fiber version, pins 5, 6, 7, 8 are not used.
The MPO Type B cable uses a key up connector on both ends. The MPO Type B cable is commonly known as a 40G MPO cable because this cable assembly can be used to directly connect between your 40G QSFP+ optical transceivers
