The MTP/MPO adapter is divided into two types of MTP connector positioning: Key up/key down (inverted) and key up/key up (straight). This allows maintaining the correct position of the fibers when connecting two multi-fiber connectors.

Designed for MTP connectors from 4 to 24 fibers, widely used in trunk cables and cassettes.
The MTP adapter is suitable for connecting MTP/MPO multi-fiber connectors. The integrity of the connection is ensured by the latch on the adapter and the locking mechanism on the MTP/MPO connectors. MTP adapters are available in standard size and the so-called SC Footprint version.
